Festival Activities

7th ANNUAL JANE LONG FESTIVAL was on Oct. 14th & 15th, 2016 at Fort Travis on Bolivar Peninsula, Texas.

The activities  began at 4pm on Friday Oct 14th and at 10am Saturday Oct 15th.  Friday visitors enjoyed the music of Bris Crider-Cool Breeze, visited with reenactors and  watched FIREWORKS.

Saturday was a beautiful day full of great music and a wonderful play  “Jane Long: A Woman for all Centuries” written by Dr. Melanie Wallace and Linda Elisalde. It was presented by the Way Off Broadway Players who did a wonderful job and supplied many laughs for all the visitors. The bunkers were open and had many visitors, thanks to Ralph Stenzel who had worked to restore the bunkers.

It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone had a great time.  Thanks to all the volunteers and vendors making it a wonderful successful day.  The Way Off Broadway Players did an excellent performance of “It’s All about Jane”.

2014 – 5th Annual Jane Long Festival

5th Annual Jane Long Festival was Oct. 11, 2014 at Fort Travis from 11AM to 4PM.  It was a beautiful day that ended in rain but was enjoyed by all.
