Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation announces the first presentation in their 2015 Lecture Series:

Fri. Sept. 18th, 2015

“The Elissa” presented by Jamie White – Director, Texas Seaport Museum.

Tickets are $10 per person, payable at the door.

Fri. Sept. 25th, 2015

“The Bunkers of Fort Travis” presented by Ralph Stenzel, Galveston County Historical Commission.

Lecture will be at Port Bolivar Fire Station, 1806 Broadway, Port Bolivar

Bunker Tours to follow at Fort Travis Seashore Park, weather permitting.

Social 4:30 pm, lecture 5-6 pm.

Tickets are $10 per person, payable at the door.

Sat Oct. 3rd, 2015

“The Making of the Book: The Bolivar Experience” presented by Melanie Wallace, Author.

January 17th –  Saturday

Cowboy Poet Bob Kahla, author of “Poems & Stories of a Salt Grass Cowboy”, will kick off the series on Saturday, January 17th, 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The lecture will start at 5:00 pm. $10 per person. Will be at the Crystal Beach Fire Station, 930 Noble Carl Drive, Crystal Beach, Texas. Tickets are $10 per person, pay at the door.

February 21st  – Saturday

The Fifth Annual Jane Long Lecture Series will be held at the Crystal Beach Fire Station, 930 Noble Carl Dr. in Crystal Beach. The lecture doors open at 6:30 and the program begins at 7PM. The lecture doors open at 6:30 pm and the program begins at  7 pm.   Lectures are $5 each or a package of 5 for $20.
